Operations also provides a consultancy to Head of Departments (HOD- Chief Officers) on personnel matters including:
The Operations Department is also a point of contact with all members and is used as a conduit for access to other Department Chiefs.
We love a challenge, and enjoy assisting members in implementing new ideas.We also play an important role in assisting the Command Staff if and when we are called upon.

Meet the Operations Team
Chief of Operations - LTJG Jody Wicksteed
Prime responsibility is to the crew of the USS Southern Cross.
The Chief Is responsible for maintaining accurate member records including academic achievemtns; providing up-to-date roster information; reminding members of renewal dates; keeping track of member’s progress toward promotions.
Assistant Chief Operations Officer - (position Vacant)
Primary responsibility is to assist the Chief of Operations when and where it is needed. Also responsible for maintenance of the USS Southern Cross’s member’s birthday records and publication.
Operations Weapons Advisor - (position Vacant)

Operations Computer Specialist -(position Vacant)
Primary responsibility is to assist with assisting crew members with real life web technologies, assist with website maintenance where required, and watch over the ship’s mailing lists.
Assists members is signing up for Southern Cross Yahoo group, and connecting to MSN messenger for online communications

Responsible in supporting Operations crew when needed.

Regional Operations Officer - Lt jg Chris Jacobs
Primary responsibility is the liaison with other Chapters within Region 11 and other SFI chapters as contacted, and for the monitoring of chapters in other regions of the World, then reporting back on anything interesting they may be doing.
This position requires an experienced STARFLEET officer who will report directly to the Chief of Operations.
